Episode 3: The Saiyan Race

His feet drowned in the wetness of the ocean, Raditz stood in front of the orange-clad duo who seemed to be cautiously awaiting what was to occur.

"Ah, Kakarot. At last we meet again."

Raising up his right hand, a contented smile was visible on Raditz' face as he looked the spiky-haired warrior that stood before him right in the eye.

So many questions, so little time.

[Sequin]

{name:KRILLIN#|#picture:1}"Kaka-Whodat?!"

Krillin was confused.

"Goku, you know this guy?"

Krillin looked up in Goku's face, wanting to get an answer. But all he could see is the sternness.

Krillin then looked at Raditz, he could see the similarity between Raditz and Goku.

"Wait a minute, They look the same!"

Krillin thought for a moment.

"Ah! No time for this!"

{name:GOKU#|#picture:4}His face as serious as ever, Goku stood firm, fists tightly clenched at his sides. The ki that emanated from this mysterious newcomer wasn't friendly, and as far as he knew, Piccolo's aura was just as maliciously evil.

"Sorry, friend, but there's no one called Kakarot here."

Goku could've sworn that the alien was addressing him. Maybe he just got the name wrong. He then fixed his stern gaze at Piccolo.

"And what are you doing here? Piccolo?"

[Sequin]

{name:PICCOLO#|#picture:8}"Hmph. I thought you already knew."

Piccolo's evil smirk turned into a frown.

"As you can see here "Kakarot", I still want to avenge my father's death."

Piccolo's rage burst, as he remembered that he had failed to avenge his father's death in the last tournament he had fought in.

Piccolo looked at Raditz. He could tell Raditz is enjoying it so far.

{name:RADITZ#|#picture:2}Raditz' mouth gaped open as the spiky-haired orange-clad figure claimed that there was no Kakarot present.

Absurd! Was he lying?

The one with the shaven head seemed to be uttering some foolish nonsense. Of course they looked alike.

"Shut up baldy!"

He then re-fixed his attention to the spiky-haired one.

"What the hell do you mean there's no Kakarot?! I'm no fool! Spiky, unkempt hair! Features much like my own! And a tail!"

Wait- Raditz couldn't see a tail on this man. Was he mistaken?

"Where's your tail Kakarot?!"

[Sequin]

Goku thought no one else would know he had a tail since he was a kid.

"Who are you, and what is this "Kakarot" nonsense you are going on about?!"

Goku was half curious and half anxious about what Raditz was about to say.

His eyes were burning with rage as soon as Raditz has called Krillin "Baldy"

Goku could see Piccolo was almost laughing, judging by Piccolo's eyes.

"I said, who are you, and what is this Kakarot thing you are going on about?!"

{name:KRILLIN#|#picture:1}Krillin's eyes widened at the comment about his shaven head. That was personal. But judging from this guy's enormous ki and the fact that Goku hadn't taken a move yet, it wouldn't be a smart move to attack him.

But still. That guy had called him a baldy.

Still, it was probably best to keep quiet. He could feel the aura of caution that Goku was exuding. He'd had worse insults before. He would handle it.

It seemed that this guy had Goku mistaken for a guy named Kakarot, but the question about the tail triggered an instant response from Krillin's big mouth.

"Goku! You did have a tail before!"

[Sequin]

{name:PICCOLO#|#picture:8}Piccolo kept a stern frown at the end of his face.

"Tail? What Tail?"

Piccolo thought to himself.

"Are you saying Goku plucked out his own tail?!"

Piccolo almost died laughing.

"I don't know what to say!"

Piccolo wiped the remaining tears from his eyes.

Then he returned back to his position, the stern look.

{name:RADITZ#|#picture:2}Was Kakarot playing dumb? Or did he really not know anything about his past? That would explain why the Earth was still intact; but surely he couldn't have completely forgotten his mission.

"Are you telling me that you really don't know?! Kakarot you fool!"

Raditz stepped forward, raising his other hand parallel to his already raised one as he continued.

"Kakarot! You are a member of an elite fighting race called the Saiyans! It was your mission to exterminate all of the inhabitants of this planet when you were sent here!"

Raditz lowered his arms before finishing.

"So tell me, Kakarot. Why don't I see any extermination?"

{name:GOKU#|#picture:4}Flashbacks of all of Goku's childhood and past ran through his mind in an instant. The orange-clad spiky-haired warrior fell backwards into a sitting position in the water out of surprise.

"Wh-What?"

He couldn't believe what he was hearing. But it all made sense. He had always been different to everyone else. The tail, the natural super strength; all of it clicked in one moment.

"N-no way."

The most powerful part, however, was his supposed mission. To exterminate the humans? There was no way that was true. Of course it wasn't. Goku's position shot forward as he shouted with conviction.

"That can't be true! Even if I was sent here for that reason, there's no way I'd kill any innocent people!"

Goku raised his arm in a swiping motion.

"There's no way I'd go through with something like that!"

[Sequin]

{name:KRILLIN#|#picture:1}"GOKU!!"

Krillin rushed over to Goku and helped him up.

"S-Saiyan race?!"

Rage flowed through him, and not because of the insult, but because of all the "make believe" lies Raditz made.

Krillin growled and launched himself at Raditz.

He was almost gonna swipe at Raditz.

{name:TIEN#|#picture:0}"Goku... He's a monster..."

Tien floated down from the skies above; his arm around Chaozu, his body battered and bruised from the beating he had taken earlier. The two former crane school students landed on the sand next to the two turtle school students to face their menacing foe.

Chaozu helping to support his weight, Tien struggled over to Goku's side.

"I came here to warn you... Looks like he got here first."

Tien groaned in pain as he spoke, forcing a desperate smile on his face to lighten up the situation.

{name:GOKU#|#picture:4}Allowing himself to be helped up, Goku still felt limp after the reality that had been thrust upon him.

His attention was soon drawn by an approaching Tien, warning of the newcomer's power.

"Tien. I know. Did he do this to you?"

Goku's teeth clenched as he turned his anger-filled gaze towards the alien warrior, Krillin dashing foolishly towards the enemy.

"Krillin! No!"

[Sequin]

{name:CHAOZU#|#picture:6}"Um, Tien, do you think it's a good idea?"

Chaozu was worried that Tien might not recover properly.

"Tien.."

Chaozu was guessing what dangerous things these five people are planning to do.

He then stood back, watching Tien carefully.

{name:RADITZ#|#picture:2}So he really didn't know. Judging by the way that the orange-clad warrior fell down, there was no other explanation. It didn't matter how he forgot his mission; or if he chose to ignore it. All that mattered was that the mission had gone unfulfilled.

"Stop being a fool, Kakarot! Embrace your Saiyan heritage!"

It seemed another newcomer had arrived. No, not a newcomer. It was that same fool that Raditz had put in his place earlier, and that little brat that saved his life. He couldn't help but give a condescending chuckle.

"Oh. So the three-eyed man comes back for more."

And then the short, bald one attacked like a fool.

A right arm swipe later and the fool was upside down in the grasp of Piccolo, who caught him by his leg.

"Kakarot... I'll let you in on a secret..."

Raditz walked intimidatingly up to the younger Saiyan; towering above him, before giving him a punch to the face.

"As disgraceful as you may be..."

He disappeared then re-appeared to kick him in the chin.

"You are my brother."
